Hi Folks! I've moved my studio into the Warehouse Mall. I'm just about settled in with a few small updates to the space. There are several paintings I've started and now can finish. (and continue with more!)
I'm still driving for Watkins Shepard 3 days a week, but have the rest of the time for the fun stuff. :)
For locals, you can find my note cards at Rockin' Rudy's, The Good Food Store, The University Book Store and me of course.
You can also find a few originals at The Art Hang Up on the "hip strip" downtown... I'll update you on any other galleries to possibly be included.
Enjoy the holidays and may you have a blessed New Year! - Kip

I know it's been awhile folks, but time is hard to come by anymore. I thought I'd post a couple of my digital faerie images I've completed.
Thanks to all of you who stop by regularly. I hope to eventually have something new for you to see every week. That will be when fate smiles upon me and allows me to focus on my art. Blessings
Kip

Hi Kip,
This is Lisa AKA Astrallyspeaking :)
Your art work is beautiful I have added it to my favorites and will check back periodically for new masterpieces.
The mystical hand in the sky was neat and reminds me of one that I had in a magazine once that totally fascinated me.

Ahhhh, it feels great to be back in Missoula!.. and step back onto firm ground. After being on the road and traveling from Washinton to Ohio, from Georgia to California, I've come back to possibly grow a few roots and paint some more. (I've learned I can't be certain about anything from the curve balls life has sent! But this is my intent)
Of course I'll post new works when completed. There are some updates to this site I'd like to make as well.
Great to hear from you Michelle! & Thank you :) I hope you've settled into your new home. John talks about you often.

Good evening from the great northwest. I thought I would leave an update here because it's been a little while. Life on the road is going well, while I'm seeing many new places. The most interesting thing is going from winter to summer, such as Montana to L.A... the body doesn't know what to do with that!
I have found a little time to work on a few pieces while I've been out here, but for the most part the lifestyle is not condusive for creative endeavors. This is not to say I haven't built up healthy inspirations for future works. This is a temporary deal, and I will be back eventually. I certainly look forward to that!

Well thank you Sister Moon ;) How nice! I treasure you as well.
Yes, by the way those license plates are available to order since september, I believe. I have seen some driving around already.
Being on the road is quite nice, I'm enjoying my time out here, and gaining an amazing amount of inspiration. I'm experimenting with my computer to create some digital pieces. I may post them when I have a few to share. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Peace, and bliss... Kip

Well, thank you for that amazing comment Manytrees. It's very much appreciated!
Hello again, from Missoula. I'm here for a day or so before I'm back on the road. I've been driving for 2 weeks now and things are both stressful and relaxing. City driving/tight turns = stressful, freeway driving = relaxing. So when you see a big rig making a turn and coming toward you, looking like it will hit you, just slowely back up, because it really does take that much space! We're not there to intimidate you, we're simply trying to make a corner without knocking down a telephone pole. (and trying to deliver the clothes you wear, or the food you eat, even the car you're driving.) Thanks!
If you haven't heard, (for you locals), the Sacajawea Gallery in Stevensville has my work on display for the month of December. It's a very nice gallery with two terrific people running the show. (Thanks Katy & Less) So stop by, if you find yourself there. Also, Marie's Art in Missoula is displaying a couple of my new works. Tell Kristi I sent you!
I'm still using up all my painting time getting used to the new lifestyle, but I plan on producing new work before too long. So please stop by again soon. I'll keep you posted. Thank you all! Kip

Hello Kip: I went to the gallery last week and was completely overwhelmed by two of your recent works. Peace Rock and The ridge were easily two of the greatest works of art I have ever seen.
I cannot help but believe that you will soon be one of the worlds great artists. Meantime, keep that truck between the lines and know that you are
eagerly awaited by and art loving world.

Now, since I had put so much into that stopped project and switched gears quickly, I'll be supplimenting my "habit" with other work for now. As you all know, the life as an artist is sometimes not the most lucrative. I have responsibilities that require attention, and the time calls for it now. I'll be traveling a lot, and gathering inspiration for my art because I'll be driving a truck. :)
It is my every intention to take my art with me on the road, and continue the creative cycle. (It's something I could never let go) But, for the next couple months I might not have much time to produce new work, although I will update you when I do. After I'm used to the routine, I'll produce more and more work to include on this site, and to make available to you.
As for the paintings in the "new images" page... most of them are still for sale. I've just not been able to update the site yet. These are originals, and the pastels sell for $1 per square inch. (22 x 28 = $616 without framing) Please feel free to call or write me if you're interested.
Thanks so much for all your support.

I'm back in Missoula after seeing my awesome kids. I always have an extra bounce in my step after spending time with them. (Josh & Ashley in Utah, and Ethan in PA)
About the Gallery... the explanation is one of differences between myself and another involved. I could simply tell that the gallery wasn't turning into what I ever wanted. I chose to end the preparation before it got even more involved, and before others were brought into the project. There is more to it, but I hope this helps you understand somewhat. Thanks for your question Laurie.

A special thanks for all the support I've received in making my recent decision. It's apreciated very much. To update you even further, it now appears there will be no gallery 107 at all.
After my trip to Utah and Pennsylvania in the coming weeks, I'll stop by and post an update for any new developments of which you should be informed. Always much going on!
Cheers, Kip

To keep you informed...
It appears Gallery 107 will open, under different managment. I've met the individual and am immpressed with her character and experience. As I'm told, the gallery will feature a variety of Artists, rotating with the months of the year. Although I might have a few pieces on view there, I will not be affiliated with it's managment.
My aim here is to keep you informed as best I can. If I find new information about the gallery, which pertains to me... I'll keep you posted. Cheers!
