Murals

Murals & Trompe L'Oeil (tromp -loy) are getting more recognition in this day and age. Exposure, through tv home improvement shows and other media are bringing awareness to the homeowner with artistic taste. This is a great thing because these art forms bring endless possibilities to the designer within us. The truth is, Trompe L'Oeil and Murals have been used for centuries to lavish private and public spaces.

There is sometimes a fine line between calling one thing a mural and the other Trompe L'Oeil. They can even, and often do, coexist in one piece. Generally speaking, a mural is a large work of art, and Trompe L'Oeil illusionary art. In the end, does it really matter what it's called, as long as it works for the intended purpose?

Speaking of purpose, there can be many reasons to have me paint something for you. Inspire, beautify, enhance, transform, make appear larger, make a statement, sell an idea, attract attention, make a tribute, etc. It can be for your home, business, your community.

If you have an idea, all you have to do is give me a call and we'll talk it over. I will ask to see the space where the work will be done. I'll take some snapshots, sketch some ideas out, have you look them over. You can be as much as a player in the creation as you'd like, or you may want me to do my thing without intervening much at all. I try to make the process easy, and comfortable and quite affordable. You might be surprised how fun it all is.
