Local Tie-in

On the front here, you see another segment of the river, but also a gazebo. I was asked to include this because of it’s local weight. (The real one is just down the street from here) When the locals see this, they know it’s for them. As far as the, (some say unpleasant), color of the wall below the mural, well, the owner asked me what color would be a nice tie-in for the mural. I gave him some suggestions and he’ll be painting it pretty soon. The dedication for the mural was held on Oct. 5th with great acknowledgment, with media in attendance. Much positive response has flooded the area, which I’m very happy to say. Let’s hope it continues from here.

Note: A documentary of this mural and all the other Sprout Fund Murals of 2005 is in the works. I can attest, as I had a camera in my face from time to time. (Thanks Anita) I’ll try to post updates as to when it might be available.
